In recognition of its commitment to quality, the International Selections Committee of the Europe-based organization, Business Initiative Directions (B.I.D.), awarded the coveted International Star Award for Quality in the Gold Category to both PJ Lhuillier Inc. (PJLI) and Le Soleil de Boracay (LSDB).

Beginning in the mid-1970's, B.I.D. began developing quality award programs based on the criteria of the QC·100, a model of Total Quality Management (TQM). The International Star Award for Quality is recognized internationally as a pattern model and is given based on the following criteria:

1. Excellence in Leadership in Business Management
2. Quality and Business Results
3. Business and Brandname Prestige
4. Technology, Innovation and Expansion

"Nothing could give me more pleasure than to receive both awards from the renowned organization," said Jean Henri Lhuillier, PJLI and LSDB CEO and President.

The awards were presented to Ms. Angelique Lhuillier at a gala evening ceremony held in Paris earlier this year. The event was presided over by Jose E. Prieto, President and CEO of B.I.D., along with outstanding personalities from the business world and the Diplomatic Corps in Paris.
